Çütre

Common Rosefinch

Common Rosefinch / Çütre, Bolu, 2018 This migrant bird is common all over Europe and Asia, from Iceland to Japan, They prefer to live high platos as well as mountain steps, forest edges, meadows, bushes near water streams. You can recognize them easily with the tone of red on the head, chest and rump especially in April or May. Even though they are mostly seen in Northen Turkey, I had a chance to record them in Osmaniye too. But this shot was taken in Bolu. Hope to see them this year if we can get rid of the corona soon enough.
